Booking someone to rearrange your furniture or redo your lighting usually means chasing vendors one chat at a time. Dekorin puts them in one place: a marketplace where customers browse home-decoration services and book them, and vendors run their orders from their own dashboard. We built it for the Information System Competition at Diesco 2024.

How a booking works
Browse
The customer finds a vendor's service and asks questions.
Request
They send a booking request.
Accept or reject
The vendor decides from their dashboard.
Complete
The vendor marks the job done.
Vendors also list new services from the same dashboard.
How it's built
A Laravel app with Blade templates, in PHP.
My role
I was the project manager, and one of the two developers. On the code side I built authentication and the data flow between customers, vendors, and their orders.
The hard part
Five people, two of them developers, and no AI tools to lean on. The hardest part wasn't the code but the scope: deciding what the requirements actually were, and keeping everyone's expectations in line with what two developers could ship in time.
We didn't make the finals.
