14th Grand Summit

Registration and participant dashboard for Grand Summit, StudentsxCEOs Bandung's annual student business case competition

The website for the 14th Grand Summit, StudentsxCEOs Bandung's annual event for undergraduates from national and international universities. Teams read up on the Business Case and Mini Case Competitions, register in a guided multi-step form, and follow their entry from a participant dashboard.

Grand Summit is StudentsxCEOs Bandung's annual event, and its 14th edition ran two case competitions for undergraduates from national and international universities. This was its website: where teams learned about the competitions, registered, and kept track of their entry.

What it does

Two competitions

Pages for the Business Case Competition and the Mini Case Competition, with benefits, timelines, and case collaborators.

Guided registration

A seven-step form that walks a team through technical instructions, each member's details, document upload, the agreement, and a final preview.

Participant dashboard

After logging in, a team sees its registration and submissions in one place.

How it's built

Two parts in one repo. The site is Next.js. Behind it, an Express.js API handles registration, login, and the dashboard, with sessions signed by JWTs. Entries are written to Google Sheets and uploaded documents go to Google Drive.

That last choice was the committee's, and a deliberate one: it hands registrations straight to RDM, the Registration and Database Management division, in tools they already work in, with no admin panel to learn.

  1. Next.js site

Competition pages, the seven-step form, the dashboard.

  2. Express.js API

Registration, login, and the dashboard, with JWT sessions.

  3. Sheets & Drive

Entries in Google Sheets, documents in Google Drive.

  4. RDM division

Works the registrations in the tools they already use.

My role

I was the project manager on a team of seven, volunteering from March to August 2025. The hardest part wasn't technical: it was keeping seven people on the same page about what we were building and why.
